The two traditions behind your reading.

Vedic astrology reads the sky when you were born. Palmistry reads your hand. Together, they tell a fuller story.

1Jyotish (Vedic astrology)

Called “the eye of the Vedas”, jyotish looks at where the planets, the twelve rashis and the twenty-seven nakshatras were when you were born. It uses the star-fixed (sidereal) zodiac, which is why your Vedic sign is often one before your Western sign.

2Hast rekha (palmistry)

Palmists read your lines (life, head, heart, fate), your mounts (the soft pads under each finger) and the shape of your hand. They compare the hand you were born with and the hand you use most; the differences are often the most interesting part.

3The five elements

Earth, water, fire, air and space run through both traditions: in the zodiac signs and in the classic hand shapes. Readers notice which elements are strong in you, and which are missing.

4Karma and free will

In Vedic thought, your past actions shape your circumstances, but not the choices you make. Life has seasons; a reading describes the weather, not what you do in it.
